Descriptionup for bid is this original german made wwi inkwell amde for a american soldier from walla walla, wa. It has a wood base with inlaid strips and design. The history of it is taped on the bottom and it measures 9 1/2 inches long x 5 1/2 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches tall to the top of the cones. The glass inserts aer missing. The wood has one mionr chip at top of the base(see image). The cones fit nicely on top and the soldier's(sgt frank bigler) id number is stamped on the bottom. He served with the 146th field artillery and was wounded in cuisy, france but made it home safely. I will be listing a few more items from the estate of frank bigler this week.
